Passing of Newry Dart League Legend.

The Newry Dart League is saddened to hear of the passing of Newry darts legend Mr Alan Copeland Snr. Alan played darts in the Newry League for over 40 years Playing for Hillbillies, Gaelic Bar, Nummys A and Boyds Bar winning numerous League and Cup titles and also winning Northern Ireland team titles.He also won the Newry Open Pairs Title with his good friend Jim Park who he appeared on the TV game show Bullseye with just missing out on Bullies star prize.

The biggest honour the Newry Darts League could give it's Hall of Fame award Alan was a very worthy recipient in 2015 to the joy of all Alan's family and friends. .

Newry Darts League would like to send its deepest Condolences to Newry Dart League Players Alan Jnr & Shane Copeland (Cavern Bar) & The Copeland family Alan snr's daughter's Belinda, Charlotte & Laura on the death of there father Alan Copeland Snr RIP...

May he rest in peace..

As a mark of respect last Friday nights Division 3 League game Cavern Bar v Doyles Camlough was called off and will now be played on Friday 12th Jan 2018...
