Shane O'Neill's Club Notes - 8th October 2017

U21s

Our U21 amalgamation of Patrick Rankins begin this year’s campaign with an away game against Grange on Sunday 22nd October with a 12 o’clock throw-in. This is followed up with a home game against Carrickcruppen on 5th November and a final group game at home to Ballyhegan on 12th November.

Minor Boys
It was disappointment for our minor boys’ amalgamation of Patrick Rankins on Wednesday night, losing out by nine points to Maghery in the Division 2 championship final in the Athletic Grounds. Played in terrible weather conditions Maghery were the better team throughout the contest and fully deserved their win on a score-line of 2 – 14 to 2 – 5.
Minor Girls
Our minor girls were in shield final action on Sunday evening against Silverbridge in Crossmaglen but the result of the game was unknown at the time of going to press.

U6s
Training for all our U6s continues every Tuesday evening in Bessbrook Community Centre from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Everyone please remember to bring water and £1. All new and current U6s are welcome to come along, starting from 3 years old.

Underage Meeting
An underage meeting will take place tomorrow night, Monday 9th October at 8:00 pm in the club. Anyone interested in helping out in any way with any of our underage teams next year is asked to come along and make yourselves available.

Annual Golf Classic
This year’s Shane O’Neill’s Annual Golf Classic will take place next Saturday 14th October in Cloverhill Golf Club. The tournament will take the format of a 3 Ball Scramble with an entry of £75.00 per 3 ball team. The winners will receive a 1 night’s Stay and Play at Slieve Russel Hotel. For further information or to book your place please contact Gareth on 0044 7810 892439.

Congratulations
Congratulations to Aimee Mackin who has recently been nominated for another All-Star award.

Lotto
Last week’s winning lotto numbers were 11, 18, 30 & 32. There were no jackpot winners and 1 x lucky dip winner. The jackpot now stands at a very impressive £6,700 so why not get yourself a ticket…. if you’re not in, you can’t win.
