Shane O'Neill's Club Notes - 4th February 2018

Senior Men
Our senior men travelled to Cavan on Sunday afternoon to take on Laragh United in their game in the Ulster Intermediate League. Despite putting in a decent performance the lads came up against a very good home side and lost out by a few scores. They continue with the Ulster League next week with a home game against Mount Nugent from Cavan. The lads begin their county league campaign on Sunday 8th April at home to Eire Og.

Well Done
Well done to Caoimhe Feehan, Abbie McVerry and Rachel McCabe who all represented Armagh U13 girls against Antrim on Sunday in Belfast.

Club Volunteers
The club is always on the lookout for new volunteers, whatever your skills. Maybe you’ve got time on your hands and fancy doing something different, maybe you’re new to the area and are looking to play a part in the community, perhaps your children or grandchildren are players at the club and you’d like to get involved. Whatever your reasons our doors are always open to new members and new ideas whether it be working with our underage teams, helping with fundraising, washing strips, cleaning, upkeep of the grounds, selling lotto, recruitment, club development, lining out the pitch, doing the gate and a host of other tasks. You can be part of Shane O’Neill’s in so many ways, and you can give as much or as little time as suits you – so why not come along a get involved.

Lotto
Last week’s winning lotto numbers were 8, 12, 22 & 31. There were no jackpot winners and 2 x match three winners. The jackpot now stands at a very impressive £7,500.

Condolences
Everyone at the club extends their sympathies to the family of Kevin Hollywood who passed away at the weekend. Kevin was the uncle of our very generous sponsor Garreth O’Shea from Gortrush Foods.
