Seeley welcomes commitment to marriage equality

Sinn Féin MLA Catherine Seeley has welcomed a commitment from the Finance Minister on marriage equality.

Ms Seeley said;

"I asked the Minister of Finance Máirtín Ó Muilleoir today about steps to bring forward marriage equality in the North.

"I welcome the fact the Minister reiterated his commitment to making progress on marriage equality by way of an Executive bill and indicated that he will see Executive approval to move this forward.

"Marriage equality threatens no one and is a human right which everyone should be able to avail of.

"Sinn Féin is committed to ensuring that marriage equality is extended across the island."
