Pathfinder Project provides certainty for future of Daisy Hill ED - Brady

Mickey Brady MP has said the call from the Trust’s Pathfinder Project to retain a 24 hour Emergency Department at Daisy Hill provides much needed certainty to the community.

Speaking following the publication of the report from the Pathfinder Project, Brady said:

“This call from the Pathfinder Project and the Southern Trust will provide much needed certainty to the local community about the future of their local hospital.

“Daisy Hill is a lifeline to many thousands of people in the local area, and Sinn Féin has fought tirelessly to protect and enhance the services available in our healthcare facilities.

“This news is welcome, but now more must be done to defend against deeply damaging budget cuts.

“Tory austerity has ravaged our public services, and this shows no sign of stopping as a result of the right-wing DUP-Tory pact.

“In order to secure investment in the long-term future of our local health facilities, this ruthless program of cuts must end immediately.”
