 Independent Newry City Councillor Kevin McAteer has commended the Magnet Centre in Newry for their recent homelessness awareness day highlighting the issue of homelessness.

Speaking on the event the Independent Councillor stated:

“Its great to see so many young people taking part in such an important event with a big message. I want to commend Rebekah, Teresa and all the young people at Newry Magnet Centre for everything they have done recently to highlight the issue of homelessness. They are a credit to the community.

It is important that we continue to create awareness on this issue within the public and to those who may find themselves in that situation. It is important that anyone who may find themselves as homeless for whatever reason understands that help is available and they are not alone.”
