Down County Board Updates 

The AGM will take place on Monday 23 October 2017, at 8 pm in the Thierafurth Inn, Kilcoo. 

 

Down U15/16 Academy – BORN 2002/2003 ONLY 

Down ladies U15 Academy got underway on Saturday 16th September in a wet and windy Ballykinler. 44 girls representing 11 clubs braved the weather. The U15s Academy is open to all girls born 2002/2003 - new girls more than welcome. The Academy will not be on this coming Saturday due to All Ireland Ladies finals weekend but will continue on Saturday 30th September. Further Details will be posted on Facebook later this week.

 

Down U13 Academy - BORN 2004 ONLY

The U13 Academy continued on Saturday in RGU Downpatrick GAC club grounds with two sessions as usual. The girls put in a magnificent effort as they continue to develop and settle into the programme, making new friends along the way. Well done girls on a cold damp afternoon! Thanks to RGU Downpatrick GAC for the use of their facilities. The next Academy takes place next Friday evening, 22nd September, as no training is permitted on Saturday/Sunday due to All Ireland Ladies Finals in Croke Park. Can any clubs please advise the Down secretary as soon as possible if their girls are unable to attend on Friday night due to club commitments, to allow numbers to be assessed by the mentors in advance. Can all parents/guardians please ensure any outstanding registration forms are returned as soon as possible, as this is needed to register the girls for upcoming Ulster Blitz in mid-October. Down U12 Academy - BORN 2005 ONLY

Great turnout on Sunday 17th September at the Academy, 70 girls turned up for the session at the Bann Road, Castlewellan. Please see Facebook for photos. The Academy will not be on this coming Sunday due to All Ireland Ladies Finals weekend but will continue on Sunday 1st October.
