Down Ladies Notes 10th Sept 2017

Down County Board Updates 

The next County Board meeting will take place on Monday 11th September 2017, at 8 pm in the Thierafurth Inn, Kilcoo. 
 
Big thanks to Teconnaught who ran a LGFA U10 Blitz on Saturday 9th Sept, well done to all the girls that participated and big thanks for hosting! See our Facebook page for photos!
 
Special thanks to RGU Downpatrick and their members for hosting the Ladies Club Championships on Saturday 9th Sept, well done to all the team that took part and congratulations to the three winners: Junior - St. Johns, Intermediate - Ballymartin and Senior - Carryduff. U15/16 Academy 
The county board would like to invite all girls born in 2002/2003 to take part in a Development Academy starting Saturday 16th September at Ballykinlar GAC. Following the 6 weeks programme all girls who have attended at least 4 sessions will be invited to play in Ulster Blitz on 28th October. Trials for 2018 teams will take place starting November. There is a registration fee of £20 and each girl will receive Gaelic development top. Girls are asked to take a water bottle.
 
The Development Academy will be split into two sessions with girls from the following clubs are asked to arrive at 11:15 am for registration. First session will run from 11:30 am-12:50 pm.

Down U13 Academy 
The third session of the Down U13 Academy takes place on Saturday 16th September 2017 at RGU Downpatrick GAC grounds. There is a registration fee of £20 and can parents/guardians please ensure any outstanding registration forms and fees are handed in at this session. The Ulster Blitz will take place on Saturday 14th October. Girls are also asked to take a water bottle and gumshield as normal. Due to an U14 Club Championship game involving Clonduff and Saval scheduled for Saturday afternoon, players from those clubs are excused from attending.
 
Girls from the following clubs are asked to arrive by 11:15 am. First session will run from 11:30 am to 1 pm:
