Curriculum Sports Programme must be retained -Sinn Féin
Sinn Féin MLA Sinéad Ennis said that work must be done to retain the Curriculum Sports Programme post March 2018.

The party’s culture, arts and sports spokesperson said:
“On Monday, I, alongside my party colleague Conor Murphy MLA, met with senior officials from Ulster GAA and they raised the need to retain the Curriculum Sports Programme post March 2018.

“We also discussed other areas of funding that are under threat and how Sinn Féin could lend our support to the call to have these funds secured.

“Sinn Féin will raise the issue of retaining the Curriculum Sports Programme post March 2018 with the temporary permanent secretary when we meet with him in early February.

“I have also written to Permanent Secretary of the Department for Communities seeking reassurances that the programme ‘Sport - a home for lifelong volunteering’ will be continued.”
