Craobh Rua Camlocha Hurling Club Notes Week

Our underage coaching and training sessions have commenced. Registration for our players shall take place during these sessions. Feel free to seek further information from Craobh Rua coaches and Coiste members in attendance. Craobh Rua Camlocha extends an invitation to all from our community who might wish to participate in and hopefully enjoy our Clubs activities.

Coaching and Training sessions have now recommenced. The details are as follows: 

U12 & U14 

Sunday mornings at the Gardens 3G playing pitch. The sessions start at 10:30 am and finish at 11:45 am. Lead Coach/Contact Laurence Bradley 07736150103.

This will be a skills-based session and as ever if any new players wish to come onboard there will be hurls and helmets available for use. This Sunday 28th January our u12/14 are scheduled to participate in the Hurling Blitz in Dundalk Institute of Technology (DKIT). Players will be advised of details.

Under 10s (Primary 5 & 6) coaching and training sessions take place each Monday night 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm in The Gardens 3G pitch in Bessbrook. Lead Coach/Contact Joe McEldowney 07764193978. A Group of our U10 hurlers travelled to DKIT in Dundalk on Sunday past to take part in the Hurling Blitz. All found it an enjoyable and learning experience. Many thanks to those who organised the event and all from Club who helped coordinate the trip. The next scheduled Hurling Blitz date for this age group in Dundalk is Sunday 11th February. 

Under 8s (Primary 3 & 4) takes place each Monday night 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm at St. Paul's Highschool Sports Hall. Lead Coach / Contact Micheál Bradley 07907219639. The first Sunday Blitz for our U8s took place in Dundalk DKIT recently. Our young hurlers who attended found it an enjoyable trip recently and many thanks to all who helped organise the event and those who help with getting our Craobh Rua hurlers to it. Please note the next Blitz for this age group is scheduled for Sunday 4th February.

Rua Ógs (Primary 1 & 2)

Our newly structured hurling nursery Rua Ógs (Primary 1 and 2) coaching continues each Monday night 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm at St. Paul's Highschool Gymnasium. Lead Coach/Contact Damien Britton 0770679917

Please note these sessions are £2 each for those who have not signed up cairde members.

Parents/Guardians should not hesitate to contact the appropriate Underage Team Mentors for any further information. 

Referees Course

The Club has been advised that a Referees Course will be held on the nights of Thursday 1st, Thursday 8th and Monday 12th February in the Ceannaras Building Armagh. Any Club member who may wish to attend this Course should contact our Secretary Henry McCloy.

Armagh GAA Fundraising Draw 

Tickets for this Draw are available from any Committee member. We encourage all to support this Fundraising initiative which not only will help develop GAA activities throughout our County but also will see Craobh Rua receiving monies from tickets sold by our Club. We would encourage any member or Club friend seeking a ticket to ensure that it is purchased by next weekend.
