250 Cyclists from across Ireland will be taking part in the 'Cycle Against Suicide' break the cycle event which visits towns and cities across the country over a 2 week period. The event will be coming to Castlewellan/Newcastle area on Monday 24 April. The lead co-ordinator is our own Ladies Senior Footballer, Lisa Morgan.

The event, part of the Homestay Programme sees people in the local community open their homes to participants of the cycle providing them with a warm meal, a chance to freshen up and a bed for the night. It provides the opportunity for people to lend their support to Cycle Against Suicide without necessarily having to get on a bike themselves.

The Cycle will arrive to Castlewellan/Newcastle on the evening of 24 April and the host families will be able to collect their guest and drop them off again there the following morning. If you are interested in helping out on the day even for a few hours and/or becoming a host family for the evening, please contact Lisa on 07734858557 for more information.
