Burglary in Havelock Place, Warrenpoint
Detectives are appealing for information following the report of a burglary at residential premises in the Havelock Place area of Warrenpoint on Saturday, 10 June.

It was reported that at approximately 3.00pm a male entered the premises. The occupant of the dwelling was present and when the intruder realised this he fled from the scene.

Nothing was stolen during this incident, however the female occupant was left very badly shaken.

The intruder is described as being aged between 40-50, approximately 6’ tall, large build, with short brown hair and wearing dark coloured clothing. It is believed the person spoke with a southern Irish accent.

Detective Constable Campbell would appeal to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area or anyone who has information about this incident to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Ardmore on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 935 10/06/17. Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
